Brian “Brain” Dwyer is taking his world record collection of pizza memorabilia and opening Pizza Brain along Frankford Avenue in Fishtown. It’s expected to be the world’s first pizza museum and restaurant.

Thanks to Brian and the Pizza Brain team for the shout out on their website.

Grab a slice and experience the story behind Pizza Brain!

In the spirit of finals, take some time to enjoy a news package I created as a final project for a TV News Reporting class at Temple.

Nearly 70 percent of children are obese in Philadelphia, according to the city’s health department, and some say limited access to healthy food options is to blame. The city’s over 2,000 corner stores provide kids with easy access to calorie-packed junk foods.

Watch to find out what’s being done to provide fresher and healthier choices to the shelves of area convenience stores.

Beer-inspired ice cream? You got it!

This summer, Victory Brewing Company began scooping out ice cream flavors infused with their iconic beer flavors. The flavors tie into their 3 top-selling brands of brews.

Ice cream lovers can indulge in Hop Devil Crunch, Storm King Crunch, and Triple Monkey.

While the ice cream doesn’t actually contain any alcohol, it does use the wart and other ingredients essential to the beer making process.

Sneak a peak (I got a taste!) at the new concoctions in my standup taped during my summer internship with CBS3 in Philadelphia.

We’ve all seen his iconic portrait, which even appears on America’s dollar bill, but did you know that George Washington is painfully posing in that shot because of his ill-fitting dentures?

You did, you say? Well, maybe you’re a self-proclaimed history buff!

If you didn’t, a new exhibit at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia just might help you discover “The Real George Washington.”

The exhibit, which runs through October 5th, takes guests through a chronological history of the nation’s first President. Artifacts include life-like wax figures, personal artifacts of Washington, and even a pair of his dentures (Geo suffered from horrible tooth decay).

Did you know he only had one, yes one, real tooth left when he took the Oath of Office to become our first President?

Take a quick peak inside this exhibit through my standup, recorded during my summer internship with CBS3 in Philadelphia.

With Harry Potter mania all the buzz in July, CBS3’s morning show sent a team to check out Tannen’s Magic Camp on the Main Line.

At the camp in Bryn Mawr, Reporter Nicole Brewer braved several magic tricks, including being sliced into thirds! While Nicole was creatively piecing together her live shots, the photographer and I brainstormed ideas for an interesting and memorable standup for my demo reel.

We came back to the station with a neat and “magical” experience, which incorporated the magic of television into this standup!
