Scenario: It’s time to pay for something on a website.

Problem: Your bank account has minimal funds.

Solution: A new website that allows mom and pop to pickup the check.

Check please! Bill My Parents gives students and young adults the option to send the bill for their online shopping to their parents via email.

Shoppers can surf the Internet for their next great web purchase. After you head to the virtual checkout, Bill My Parents sends an email to your parent or legal guardian. Once mom and dad get the receipt, and view your shopping cart, they can accept or decline the charges (good news for the ‘rents).

Sounds like a collect call, in the form of online shopping, to me.

The good news is, Amazon and other websites are already giving a chance for parents to help their kids out.

The winner is…Abigail!

That’s the name voters chose for the new baby giraffe at the Philadelphia Zoo.

She was born overnight on July 17 to a proud Stella and Gus, making her the first giraffe to be born at the zoo in 13 years.

The zoo’s website says the best time to see Stella and Abby are between 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. as the new family adjusts to the exhibit.

The zoo asked the public to help name the newborn in an online poll following her birth.

Patricia and Shari were the two other names up for consideration.
